Needle Felting demonstration with Emma Herian on Sunday 17th May

A regular to the Open House is the multi talented Emma Herian of Sew Recycled!
In between writing tutorials for Making Magazine and needle felting her way through the animal kingdom, Emma also manages to teach the craft of needle felting.

So we are very excited as Emma has agreed to show us with a small demonstration how she creates these amazing little characterful creatures.

If you would like to see how it is done, ask Emma any questions on the craft or even book a place on one of her workshops then pop down to the house on Sunday for a small demonstration!

Louise Gardiner - Hosts a talk at the Open House Saturday 16th May

We are so lucky to have the very talented an highly regarded Louise Gardiner showing her contemporary embroidery work this year at the house.
Her embroideries show such amazing skill with an explosion of colourful creative ideas.
Hot off the press is this amazing commission that Louise has made for the 140 years birthday celebration of Liberty.
It will be on show at Liberty in their window till the 18h May and then in the haberdashery department.

So its such an honour to have Louise give us a snippet of what goes on in that mind of hers this Saturday as she will be hosting a talk here at the house.

If you would like to come and listen to Louise's speak, spaces are limited so please do call to confirm a space, we would be happy to save you a seat!
